My dad has asked me to help him with his firefox crashing, so I have no history on the problem. When I click on the icon, I get the Mozilla pop up telling me to submit a crash report. I tried to start in safe mode but get the same pop up box. I followed the instructions here (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-crashes-troubleshoot-prevent-and-get-help#w_check-to-see-if-the-crash-happens-in-safe-mode), and this is where they led me. I did see one place where it said to click on the hamburger menu, but i am on a desktop and there is no hamburger menu available.

So, what do I do now? This looks like a community forum rather than the help desk, but I hope someone out there can tell me how to fix this problem.

Thanks!

Oddly enough, after posting this question, I am able to open firefox and get the "embarrassing" page, and we are back up and running. Weird. And of course, now I see the hamburger menu in firefox...which I use every day and never noticed before.

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected at http://input.mozilla.org/, where a team of people read it and gather data about the most common issues.

Are you all set now? If so,

Please flag your last post as Solved Problem so others will know.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)
