Why does Firefox always crash when I open a YouTube link?

I can usually watch about 15 seconds of a YouTube link, then any and all applications (max 4) I have open on Firefox 'freeze(s)'. This is tedious and annoying and I am utterly sick of it. I don't need a complicated reply involving 'technical knowledge' ......... I am just a simple clicker-and-user, and have been brought up on GIGO (garbage in, garbage out) - I am not a technical being, but I can follow set rules, and when I click on links, I expect them to work.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

Far too complicated, I have NO IDEA .......... as I said, I am a click-and-use type of person .......... BP? ...... oh whatever .........

I just follow links, and am exasperated when the site crashes ........ I am 64, I am a certified computer-programmer from the age of steam (early 1970s), this constant failure of Firefox to just let me look at a simple video makes me swear a lot and want to hurl the whole thing out of the window.
