How can I block access to saving bookmarks?
Hello I need to restrict the ability to save bookmarks in firefox for public use computers. Currently I am using a userchome file and a Mozilla.cfg file to block other settings is it possible to restrict bookmarks the same way?

I see that you have a few questions about blocking certain Firefox features. I'm assuming that you are a network administrator.
Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a way to lock out the bookmarks using the userChrome or Mozilla.cfg files. However, I think that the Public Fox addon will have some of the features that you are looking for when it comes to managing a network. You can use it to password protect various features in Firefox.
Sorry if this isn't helpful to you.
However, this can be bypassed by starting Firefox in Safe Mode.
Sorry :-/

True, however, Public Fox can hide the safe mode button in the menu. This will prevent the majority of users from entering safe mode, as many don't know how to access safe mode using other methods.
I currently user Public Fox but need to change to an alternative due to it asking to install adware at startup of Firefox. I would like to avoid addons.
