Isisombululo esikhethiwe

Sorry to hear about the crashes and thank you for the crash report ID.

The crash report indicates that there was a problem when Firefox using a component related to iCloud. There really isn't much other information to go on.

Do you use any Add-ons that sync your Firefox with an iCloud account? You can review your extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the right side check for anything iCloud-related and try disabling it for a while. Perhaps also disable anything else you don't plan to use for the next 24 hours.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Any difference?

Note: If you have other recent crash report IDs, you might want to post those. They may be the same type of crash, or something different.

Hi, I have researched the crash reports and found that it's something to do with icloud bookmarks. After a bit of research can you please that you have the most updated icloud Console/ iTunes if you have this installed on your PC.

Please also inform the Mozilla Feedback team at the below link. You may submit feedback directly to the Advocacy team through the following page:

The User Advocacy team reviews all feedback and reports on the findings to the product teams and relevant parties, helping to influence and shape our products.

Also you may want to try this:

Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. This means you remove your Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox . This process does not remove your Firefox profile data (such as bookmarks and passwords), since that information is stored in a different location.

To do a clean reinstall of Firefox, please follow these steps: Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.

  1. Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from mozilla.org (or choose the download for your operating system and language from this page) and save the setup file to your computer.
  2. After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (or open the Firefox menu New Fx Menu and click the close button Close 29).
  3. Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    • Windows:
      • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
      • C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
    • Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
    • Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
  4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
    1. Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
    2. Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.

More information about reinstalling Firefox can be found here.

WARNING: Do not use a third party uninstaller as part of this process. Doing so could permanently delete your Firefox profile data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and saved passwords. These cannot be easily recovered unless they have been backed up to an external device! See Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles.

Please report back to say if this helped you! Let us know how you get on

Thank you.

That is likely a problem with the iCloud Bookmarks extension.

Well it looks like it was iCloud-related. The Firefox was slow, but it has return to it quick access of email and websites and it has not crashed in two days. So far.

Hope Windows 10 does not cause any problems...
