My current version of Firefox is 151.0.4 (64-bit) & for the past 2 weeks or so every time I use the search bar to google something it triggers one of those "We've detected unusual activity from your network" requiring a Captcha. At first I tried all of the typical stuff [antivirus, vpn, extensions, etc...] to make sure that wasn't the issue. But as of yesterday & confirmed today I can actually go to Google's website first & do the search from there with no issue & no captcha.

So, whatever the issue is has to do specifically with doing the search via the search bar... for some reason. Is this a bug in the browser, or is there perhaps some setting that could cause this to happen in the about:config page? Though, I doubt a setting could be it because I've changed the settings I've changed now for years without causing this issue.

I'm trying to add the world cup tracker to my home screen, but when i click the link, it just puts me in my new tab page with no changes. When I click the pencil edit icon, widgets are not an option for me. Is there a place I need to enable them?

I’m looking for help with a Windows taskbar issue. My taskbar refuses to auto-hide when I have a video in full-screen and a Picture-in-Picture video running simultaneously. It works fine with just one video, but the PiP window keeps the taskbar active.

Does anyone know if there is a setting or workaround to fix this behavior?

When I have video playing in Firefox's PIP window (ex: YT) and when I enter full-screen mode in browser, the windows 11 taskbar does not disappear.

It works normally when there is no PIP window.

I woke up this morning and opened firefox. Normally it opens the days previous tabs and this morning it didn't. When I tried 'restore recent tabs' it didn't do it. When I went into history and found the previous day's back up and tried to restore it also failed. Can you help?

“Whenever I play YouTube videos in Firefox, the playback stutters and becomes choppy. This happens even at lower resolutions (e.g., 480p). I am unable to view old payment methods in order to delete them. When I go to Settings, Passwords and Autofill, Payment Methods, Manage Payment Methods, I can only add new methods. The old methods do not show up, i.e. the list is blank. I have many old payment methods that I'd like to delete that show up in drop-down when I click in a credit card number field. How can I suppress a recurring pop-up in Firefox that claims my computer is infected with a virus and it instructs me to download McAfee Antivirus to clear it out. I've done multiple scans with my Norton Antivirus which showed I had no viruses. The fake pop-ups appear to be coming from Firefox.

can no longer access imdb.com - problem started after last firefox update - have tried everything - sometimes get message "Max challenge attempts exceeded. Please refresh the page to try again!" I refresh, but same problem. running Windows 11 - google search engine

This is only an issue in Firefox, so it's not an issue with my ISP or anything. Chrome shows my location correctly. Around 2 weeks ago after an update to firefox, it's just been constantly showing my location as Dublin. I'm in the UK. Certain sites show it correctly, some don't. Google doesn't show it right.

Several sites i check show it in the UK correctly, but google and a couple others show as in Dublin. I only run a limited number of extensions, Ublock surfshark, and bitwarden. If I put a uk location on surfshark, then google is right, but turning it off and then it is back to ireland.

I keep getting notification from firefox that I need to download mcafee that I have a virus I have all ready done a mcafee removal did no have it to start with can not use fire fox as it continues to give me the messages that wont stop i have turned off notifications but that isn't the answer I have malwarebytes and windows virus protection what now.

I really don't need a profile in Firefox and if I delete the profiles listed, you will wipe out all my bookmarks/settings. Why do I need to see a yellow triangle on the Firefox app icon?

Every time I start Firefox lately, it keeps prompting me: "You must log in to this network before you can access the Internet." I have no idea what this means and have no problem accessing the Internet in any case. What suddenly started causing this !#@%$ message and how do I turn it off?

I have my Firefox update settings on "Check for updates but choose when to install". When I get the pop-up to advise that there is an update available I select the "Update later" option but the update loads regardless of my choice. This happens on both my PC and laptop. I use a variety of online software for my work and frequently one or more will stop working or crash and Firefox advises that the problem is caused by an update needing to restart. The reason I choose to Update Later is so that I can just get on with my work and then update Firefox when it suits me. Currently, I end up having to shut down all open browser windows and then go through and sign in to all required windows and tabs again before I can continue with work. Needless to say this is VERY ANNOYING. Please advise why the updates are loading automatically when I have set my preference set to Update Later.
