"Your browser is being managed by your organisation" has once again appeared. I have no organization. How to turn this off?

Disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer
You can also set a different third-party PDF viewer to handle PDF files, instead of Firefox’s built-in PDF viewer. To switch from using the built-in PDF viewer to another viewer: 1. Click the menu button and select . 2. In the panel, go down to the Applications section. (SO WHERE IN THE HELL IS THIS SECTION???) YOU CAN'T DO I never selected Mozilla to open any pdf and there's no where to opt out or change based on what all the troubleshooting tips say... All these tips must be located on a much older version of Firefox cause they ain't in my version OR they are hid under some dubious section... Pretty frustrating....when you want to use Adobe and can't cause I'm locked in under Firefox....don't know how that has happened unless it was done automatically under one of the many current upgrades that have been coming down over the last month.

I am a UK user and have just installed and started to use Firefox on a brand new Linux Mint installation. As I am transferring from a Windows/Chrome environment, there is a lot of setting up to do. Firefox transferred most of the chrome info for me, and so I was able to get up and running with bookmarks and logins quite quickly. However, there is one problem that I can't seem to resolve.
I have been able to set up my credit card details, and these are prompted when needed, BUT, Firefox will not remember my name, email, phone or address. Thus for every form that I have to fill, I have to enter these details, again and again (and again).
I have looked at settings and see that the 'Autofill Address' option is not present (see attachment).
I have followed and implemented the fix proposed elsewhere, to update/add GB as an address format. This has not made a difference.
Can anyone please help.
Regards,
Mark
Can someone please assist with a support email or chat function, this support page is overcomplicated and ends in a loop.
Thanks

I loaded the postcode lottery website but it's completely blurred. I last checked the same website last month, and it worked fine. I have cleared the cookies from Firefox, but the result is the same. It appears clear for a moment, then blurs. No pop-ups asking to accept cookies. It works fine using Chrome. Any idea why Firefox won't display it properly? It loads the National Lottery website, so it's not about gambling sites I guess.

I searched for a solution and it's not the same problem as others are having where they have the the "never remember history" option enabled. My setting is "remember history."
I am a personal user, and this is my personal computer. I have admin rights on my computer. Running Windows 10 Pro.

I opened Firefox as usually, but passwords are missing, only logins are available. There is also a file called logins.json-1.corrupt in the profile folder.
Renaming it back to logins.json with restarting the computer does not work.
There are no previous versions of these two files available in the system.
Please let me know how I can recover passwords, may be with a special software.
Thank you!

Hi all :)
From a fresh Linux Debian Bullseye I try to connect to a local machine with Firefox (v97 64-bits) by its hostname (avahi server with default domain "local") with the port 6180 bound to a remote web service port (61 is the distant machine IP and 80 is the forwarded port).
When I want to open this URL : http://bionic.local:6180/ FF displays "We can't find this site ... Unable to connect to server at bionic.local ... check your network connection and firewall"
BUT ping bionic.local works perfectly and resolve the good IP address from the Chromium navigator the same URL works without a problem, I can open the distant web site.
This workaround works : add a static resolution in the /etc/hosts file : 192.168.0.71 bionic bionic.local => so FF works in the expected way for now ! But as I said this a workaround and a bad solution.
I supposed too the port was blocked because I accessed an unusual port. So I tried this without success.
How the hell make that FF v97 allows me to use an unusual port ? Or is it bound to the domain "local" which is no more accepted by FF ?
Thank you in advance for your help. With adelphity, lnj

Greetings from North-East of France, since a few weeks ago I'm seeing a (sort of) pop-up window suggesting to login with a Google account (see the screenshot attached). I've done some internet search to find out how to get rid of it, but the only suggestion I get is to modify an option in a Google account. However, I do not have a Google account! How to get rid of this disturbing pop-up? I already use Adblock Plus and uBlock Origin, yet Google passes through them! Thank you in advance for any help you may provide.

Firefox is set to remember history, but every time I close it and re-open it, links in websites that once had purple text is now back to white, so I don't know what link I'm on, Firefox remembers this through history saved, why does it reset back to white text? Does it have something to do with bitdefender or bitdefender VPN? Can anyone else test thie out with firefox and bitdefenders full security on? Firefox is set to save everything by the way. Only started happening after installing bitdefender.

Hi,
No matter what I do, a google dialogue box encouraging me to use google for password management, pops up every time I go to a site, new or existant.
I've gone into my google account to disable such requests, and, indeed, otherwise use google for nothing....not even search............but they keep coming anyway.
am using ubuntu 20.04, and no other utility or code is giving me this trouble.
I want to stop this dialogue box and eliminate any code in firefox or ubuntu which supports it.....as I have no idea why this box showed up....one day it just started.
Many thanks!

Obviously Firefox/Mozilla makes ~80% of their incomse $ by shipping the browser with google as default search engine, which is a privacy nightmare but who cares, it's for the money... So my best bet would be that's also the reason the default mailto suggested by firefox is google, is that correct? Does that mean something of google ins injected into Firefox? Look i have no idea to be honest, i do hate google and now im woondering where is the gmail logo comming from, is it stored somewhere inside of firefox? Is it just the logo or might there be more google crap injected to firefox behind the scenes?

Hi,
Since recent updates to Firefox I get a purple pop-up listing Trackers at the bottom right of my screen every time I open a new webpage. I'm happy with my PC security settings and have good protection software running - but this pop-up listing Trackers is becoming a nuisance.
Is there a way to stop Firefox displaying the Tracker notification pop-ups whilst still intercepting and blocking them in accordance with my security settings?
I see that other users have asked the same question, but it does not seem to have been answered yet.
Thanks,
Peter
