Firefox no longer remembers my history is this due to Bitdefender security system?

more options

Firefox is set to remember history, but every time I close it and re-open it, links in websites that once had purple text is now back to white, so I don't know what link I'm on, Firefox remembers this through history saved, why does it reset back to white text? Does it have something to do with bitdefender or bitdefender VPN? Can anyone else test thie out with firefox and bitdefenders full security on? Firefox is set to save everything by the way. Only started happening after installing bitdefender.

I found the fix! I wanted to let you know I fixed the problem, it was a addon on firefox called free vpn and it had this update and decided to force don't keep history option, that never happened before, so I disabled it then reboot firefox it now saves history. The reason I never knew is because it was disabled icon, I wasn't connected to the VPN, but it decided to enable options regardless of d/c status.

I think you need to uninstall BitD and see what happens or dive into the setting and see what you have for browser data in BitD.

Well it must be bitdefendr all I did was update firefox and install bitdefender, so which is the cause clearly can't be firefox otherwise others would have the same issue? Ever since installing bitdefender it hasn't saved history, I think it still saves cookies. Problem is I don't know bitdefender security suite very well, it's the full list of protections. Must be something in there that is causing it VPN maybe? I just wish I knew which setting as contacting them they told me to disable them then enable one aat a time to see what's causing it.

If you see the video on how to disable bitdefender security it's laughably long.

Unless could it have something to do with firefox's startup password? Nope never mind that wasn't it, I deleted the primary password thought the lag was preventing to keep the history for some reason, that wasn't it. Still gets wiped has to be Bitdefender or a new firefox update that needs to work with bitdefender.

My History is only saved until June which means it stopped recording history about the time I installed Bitdefender, it only kept till June in control+H on firefox history, we in July nearly August now. So Firefox has definitely stopped recording history but can't figure out what did it version is 115.0.3esr (64-bit

It's clear to me it's BitDefender, but I'm loving your R&D!  ;-)) Why not keep the Manage History or Library window open on another screens (if you have it) and clear all history. Then disable BitD and then surf the interwebs and get a little history and see if it's there. Then repeat the steps with BitD on and see what happens.
