How to modify the default dark theme?

e.g. where can I find dark theme files to create a new theme starting from the dark theme?

I've tried using Firefox Color, but there is no option to start from the default dark theme. Also, it seems that there are only a few options to customize using Firefox Color.

I cannot find theme files in ./AppData/Roaming/Mozzila/Firefox/

Hey everyone. I am running Windows 11 Home on my PC and have Firefox completely updated. Lately, when I use the Windows "Copy image" function, then paste that image in Firefox, the image comes out with a blue tint.

For example, I wanted to share this funny image from r/minnesota https://www.reddit.com/r/minnesota/comments/w4iaun/it_was_bring_anything_on_a_leash_day_at_the_st/ But when I paste the image (Attachment is how the image looks after pasting back into Firefox), the image is blue tinted.

I tested to see if this was just a Windows issue, but there is no blue tint if I paste the image into Word, Paint, or any other tool besides Firefox.

In firefox, protection settings are "custom" but map very closely to Strict. I am running the following addons:

Bitwarden uBlock Origin NoScript Facebook Container

Troubleshooting steps:

1. Restarted Windows, no change. 2. Copied image to a program outside of Firefox from Firefox, no blue tint 3. Created a new user profile in about:profiles, blue tint persists when copying into Firefox

For several weeks now I've been experiencing issues with accessing google sites. YouTube videos will constantly display the "Connect to the internet. You're offline. Check your connection." error page. Additionally gmail and google drive will constantly give the "OOPs" error message. Sometime the page will load w constant refreshes but this is not ideal.

I've done the following:

Clear history/cookies Opening in troubleshoot mode Disable hardware acceleration Refresh/Reinstall

Still getting the same results. Not having any issues with edge/chrome. Does anyone have anything else that could be done?

Firefox Browser 102.0.1 (64 bit) Windows 10 OS

In Firefox setting i have selected the startup option Open previous windows and tabs in startup. Still, when i Exit Firefox it asks if i wan to close the tabs. I suppose it shouldn't? After closing and restart Firefox doesn't restore previous session as it should. Whats wrong with this setting?

I am testing v102esr of Firefox for a rollout in September.

One of this issues I have come across is the extremely high number of processes started when opening Firefox.

We have our own website run via Windows Server using IIS. The home page has no remote content - it's all local so I don't believe any remote content is being opened. There is only one tab open.

For each new tab I open I get at least one additional process. So with 10 tabs opened I ended up with 24 processes.

In FF91esr this was 3-5 processes. I also noticed under performance settings I can no longer specify the number of processes.

Is there any way to reduce this number to something more sane, like 3-5?

Also, why is there a Console Window Host running under Firefox?

Is the Node.js also new? I don't recall seeing it before

Is there a way to remove the "delete" option when right clicking on items in the download history? It's unfortunately right above 'remove from history' and easy to mis-click. It has no confirmation and permanently deletes the file(s) without sending to the recycle bin which is quite annoying - especially as I'm not sure why you'd want to use this menu to delete something you just downloaded.

I cannot currently access https://thesaker.is/ as they are under DOS attack. When I try to access the HTTP sight, firefox is automatically changing what I type, adds the S, and then it cannot connect. Please make it stop "protecting" me. Please respond to to wayne@nano-dyne for any emailed notice as checking bonin006 is inconvenient

when you select text and right click popup "Search google for 'text marked'" , here google is your FF's default search engine, but for people in multi-lingual region would prefer to search e.g. web in the language of the selected text, which makes more sense for the results.

I wonder if FF could add this function, auto detect the text's language and search in e.g. google.de, google.cn or google.fr?

Which is like the macOS lookup, it detect the text language and point to that dictionary?

FF could be a little more intelligent, right?

I have a problem with opening files: Mozilla keeps saving them and ignores temp folder. I tried to modify browser.download.improvements_to_download_panel in about:config, but nothing happened. Can anybody help me?

I just tried to open a new window using File, New Window. It is GONE. I always use that. Now all I get are New Tab New Container Tab (grayed out so I can't select that) New Private window, some other stuff.

The same is true if I right click. I get: Open Link in New Tab Open Link in New Private window.

What did I do to cause these changes?

Hi there,

All the icons on the taskbar when I open up Firefox have disappeared... and I now have the same "world" type symbol for everything. I've Googled and followed instructions, but I'm not seeing what the instructions are telling me to look for, so I can't make the changes.

Can you please send me a step-by-step on how to resolve this. I can't even 'open a page in a new tab'. That function has also disappeared.  ?????

I don't know what could have caused this. Would appreciate your help.

I tried to set cookie preferences for different websites. For reasons that I do not understand, I cannot move the "slider". I even turned of the existing protection for the websites, but nothing changed. I tried the same with Safari using the same computer and mouse, and I had no problems.

Is this a known bug?

An old question but seems like the about:config parameters have changed recently. the following don't exist anymore : toolkit.cosmeticAnimations.enabled ui.prefersReducedMotion

I've searched with other keywords but couldn't find the new one.

In Chrome I can browse my bookmark tree, right click on a folder and "Add Page", which directly adds the current URL to that folder. Firefox shows only "Add (a blank) Bookmark", "Add Folder", etc. No way to add the current page. Is there a way to add that I'm not seeing, other than dragging the URL physically?

My bookmarks disappeared mysteriously yesterday while I was using the browser. All of them (I have a lot), there's nothing in the bookmarks toolbar. I use Firefox on two different machines regularly, and yesterday the second machine was fine, bookmarks still there. Today I logged on and the second computer had lost its bookmarks too.

I tried restoring. It worked on my other computer, no problem, all bookmarks returned. However, on this one the restore points are visible, but when I click them, nothing happens. I have tried restarting Firefox, no luck. Any ideas?

Thank you RobertJ! I am now able to see DownThemAll on my toolbar and use the extension, and I thank you! The next problem is that DownThemAll downloads the name but not the midi file. Each midi when you click on it has an automatic download feature that initiates for each file so that you can automatically download the file quickly and easily, however, DownThemAll cannot download the midi. Hi there,

i'd like to copy my Firefox profile from PC1 to a new PC2;

Last time i tried this, i ended up with PC2 having the same "name" as PC1 in "Sync". This caused weird sync issues, as the system thought my PC2 was PC1 as vice versa.

So, is it possible to copy my entire profile with all addons/settings, BUT, make "Sync" recognize it as a NEW pc ?
