Printer wont print time in the footer area. Solution select paper size "letter"not A4

I had a very hard time finding the solution. Other possible fixes are: - that the settings are on borderless - check the margin size My fix turned out to be that HP had default setting of paper size at A4 (which turns out to be European size that is longer than our letter size), so select the right size of paper that you are using. I put this question in because of the difficulty in finding this answer. If there are any other possible solutions, please post them here. Thanks in advance.

Printers made for sale in the US should default to US paper sizes, not the "world" ISO paper sizes.

Withing Firefox, when the paper size is changed by the user, Firefox should remember that "new" paper size and use that the next time someone prints something thru Firefox. (Unless someone toggled that pref off print.save_print_settings)
