I often find myself trying to open a few of bookmarked links from the address bar and am wondering if there's a quicker way. Right now you either have to manually type each of them in separately or use the bookmarks manager to search for and open them all.

You can open the Bookmarks sidebar (View > Sidebar; Ctrl+B) and do the search via its search bar.

Then you can select all items and open them via the right-click context menu.
You need to click the the left of the (fav)icon to prevent the link from getting opened.
Hold down the Ctrl key to select individual items or use Ctrl+A to select them all.

I can't think of a built-in way to do it from the address bar.

Firefox has a feature to open all bookmarks in a particular folder of the bookmarks menu in new tabs. This is the bottom item on the menu below the list of specific bookmarks. If it's always the same set of sites, that might help, but if you are opening lots of different groups of sites this way, we'd need to come up with something else.

Completely forgot about the sidebar, which is more convenient for this particular use case than the Ctrl+Shift+B I was previously using. While not as quick as a shortcut for awesomebar would be, a lot more can be done with it.
