Firefox when used with websense proxy with AD Authentication, is disturbing by keep on asking proxy username and password. The popup window is showing the below message. Tried many workaround from web, like changing some network and ntlm related configurations in about:config. But no luck.

This is making around 800 people in our organization to move away from firefox. Kindly help. I am sure this is a big concern from firefox users.

The interesting thing is that both Chrome and IE doesnt have such a problem and works with the same proxy without any problem.

The proxy moz-proxy://x.x.x.x:8080 is requesting a username and password. The site says: "moz-proxy://x.x.x.x:8080"

Firefox Version : 24 Operating System : Ubuntu 13.04 and Windows 7

Disappointed to see no response here. This problem cropped up for me as soon as I updated to FF 28.0 on a Windows 7 machine. The previous version of FF never asked for a proxy password, but starting with FF 28.0, I'm asked several time per web page - often enough I've switched to Chrome for now.

Not sure if it's a 'remember password' issue or a change int he way FF treats proxys, but it's impossible to use with the password windows constantly popping up...
