I cannot find the profile folder anywhere, keep getting missing profile message.

I have read all the stuff in the forums, enabled hidden folders and cannot start the profile manager to create a new profile that apparently is missing, I've looked through my Library Folder and the Mozilla folder, uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted, checked and fixed permissions yet all to no avail. I can't get this thing up and running.

Hello lychak51,

if your receiving message is : Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible...

then you must delete the profiles.ini file to force firefox to create a new profile, the profiles.ini file exist in firefox profile folder path

for your mac is one of the next locations :

  • ~/Library/Mozilla/
  • ~/Library/Application Support/

when the new profile created (after you delete the profiles.ini folder) then see:
