At the end of the navigation bar is a triangle showing typed in URLs. Where are these URLs stored?

I'm new to Firefox and my question is probably very basic. At the right end of the navigation bar there are three symbols; a star, a triangle and a partial circle with an arrow. When I click on the triangle I get a list of URLs that I have typed in manually. Where is this list stored on the computer?

The drop-down displays results from your history. The sort order is based on a combination of frequency and recency of use ("frecency") so that over time your most visited sites will be toward the top, with a bias toward the more recent.

By the way, that third icon changes depending on the loading status. After a page has loaded fully, it's reload. While the page is loading, it's stop. And when you are typing a new address or search, it's go.

That drop down list list is part of the history and is thus stored in the places.sqlite database file with a typed=1 flag.
