Firefox updated to 10 and erased all of my bookmarks, history, extensions, saved passwords, etc. How do I get them back?

Firefox updated from 9 to 10 and now it's as if it's a completely new installation. I've lost everything. All the bookmarks, saved passwords, extensions, etc. The only things still here are the plugins (flash, java, etc).

I've checked the profiles folder in AppData\Roaming and there is only one profile, the new one.

What happened and can I recover the bookmarks at least?

Hi,

You can try right-clicking on the Mozilla folder > Restore previous versions and Copy it to another location. Once copied you can browse and copy back the needed files. Please note that restore may not be present in every Windows 7 version.

I've used a professional undelete program and found that the entire Mozilla folder in AppData had been deleted and replaced. I tried to recover the deleted files but they were already corrupt by time I got to them. None of the bookmark backup files was usable so I lost all of my bookmarks. Only one extension was usable.

I didn't even know that feature existed within Windows.

Thanks!
