I don't care for firefox updates, trying to be bigger and better than the competition, I get it. However, each update is 100% incompatible with Java and in case the individuals who collaborate and makes such updates are unaware, the entire world wide web uses Java. Why would anyone want to use firefox when they can't even use the internet?

JavaScript is not Java as said and JavaScript is a part of Firefox so nothing to update.

As for Flash go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ to see if it detects it and if you have the current version.

The https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ is current while the https://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ suggested in above post is not up to date on flash plugin.

Well I'm getting old and no longer stay uptodate on programming lingo, so I will put it like my wife said to me this morning.

I can't go to online classes at k12.com (they use a java app that gets downloaded you then double click it and it launches the java logo on the screen and then dies) it the proceeds to give you a pop up box saying could not launch the iluminate.com app. when I went into the "add ons" under tool all 3 java plug ins were turned off with a red x. I upgraded last friday and when I saw the incompatible message I went and downloaded the latest .27 java figuring it might fix it (actually in the past I have had to install older version of it to get stuff from k12 to work, (sound like their programmers use undocumented entry points to me).

so my fix was just download 6.0 and install it, all is well with the universe as far as the wife is concerned. ;) I had already been given a stern warning about ie9 in her box (sorry could not resist that last sentence) and not to update 6.0 unless it sets the box on fire (LMAO)
