Which version of firefox is compatible with XP - Andrew Duthie
I have an operating system Vista Home basic for obtaining data on the Webb. I have a laptop with no webb connection with an older version of firefox (2008). I need to update this to a newer version to open 2011 files. Which version should I download to achieve this capability?

When you'll go to download page, Firefox will suggest you the correct version after detecting the platform. [http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/], but not all add-ons and extension will be supported in Firefox 5.0 or Firefox 6.0 You can try Firefox 4.0 versions! Thanks!
My query is prompted by the operating platform (Vista) which will download firefox. The firefox is for use with an XP operating platform not linked with www. I need firefox to read downloaded data transferred from Vista system to XP system and print out as required. - Regards duthieaja
I need to obtain a specific firefox for an XP system (32bit)_but the downloading computer is Vista and it appears that the supplier server would automatically detect Vista and therefore provide the wrong operating system for my XP (non www communicating) notebook - regards duthieaja
The Firefox version is the same for all Windows OS.
So you can use the same Firefox version on Windows 7 and Windows Vista and Windows XP.
I am a little uncertain about using any version of firefox since the latest version signifies it can be used with XP (but a 64 bit system) whilst mine is a 32 bit system.
