i have installed the latest version of firefox but still crashing, any more suggestions. i have some add on like autofill forum google toolbar alexa/google nofollow

Perform the steps mentioned in the link provided in my first post.

If you have submitted Breakpad crash reports then post the IDs of one or more Breakpad crash reports (bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx).

You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page.
You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website.

ok, here is something new, whenever my firefox crashes, i see this message in Error console, that firefox is unable to read "chrome.menifest" now can anybody please tell what the hell is that and how can i fix this problem thanks

can you copy/paste the whole chrome.manifest error message..

i am just fedup of all these errors so i am installing google chrome. it will take some time to adjust with google chrome. but what i can i do firefox is crashing alot, it is just crashing not doing anything else. Pretty disappointing i would say, But Goodbye firefox

• Start Firefox in Safe Mode by Holding down SHIFT key while starting Firefox
• As an alternative method, select "Start -> Run" and enter one of the following in the Windows Run box:
  • firefox -safe-mode
  • "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode
• Firefox Safe Mode window will open -> DON'T SELECT ANY OPTIONS, just click Continue in Safe Mode

mha007 thankyou very much for your response. I just come back to firefox 3.6.4 because firefox 5 is far more bugy then firefox 3.6. I also uninstalled all the adds on and plug ins. Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

i have tried it but in vain. any other suggestions. My firfox was working alright till last sunday. And then suddenly, all that crashing season starts. So i am looking forward for more suggestions. thank you.
