Can I save some bookmarks to be available offline like in IE? There are tech help pages I'd need handy when my internet is down.

It would really help me immensely. I often get internet issues and the such, and for all sort of various reasons. I've built a handy library of tech help pages for such issues but I can't remember all the info and I'd need to access them while being offline.

While I still used IE I could archive them but I haven't figured if I can do this on Firefox.

Firefox doesn't natively support the same "web archive" format as IE. However, someone has created an archiving add-on that you could test to see whether it suits your needs: Mozilla Archive Format, with MHT and Faithful Save :: Add-ons for Firefox.

Personally I think printing to PDF is the safest approach (as long as you don't need functional links) because all the images are in there, the styling is locked down, and pretty much anyone can read a PDF if you need to send it to someone or access it from a thumb drive on another PC.
