Multiple selection from a list fails after scrolling the list
I ran into this problem in a much more complex HTML file, but here is a simple file that recreates the issue:
<script type="text/javascript"> function selectWorks() { window.alert("Selected"); } </script>
<form> <select size="4" onclick="selectWorks();" multiple> <option>A</option> <option>B</option> <option>C</option> <option>D</option> <option>E</option> <option>F</option> <option>G</option> <option>H</option> <option>I</option> <option>J</option> </select> </form>Note that the behavior is correct in Google Chrome.
I have also reproduced this error in both Firefox and Seamonkey a Windows XP environment.
I ran into this problem in a much more complex HTML file, but here is a simple file that recreates the issue:
<html>
<body>
<!--
Steps to reproduce the problem:
- Select the 'A' option => the 'Selected' alert is displayed
- Scroll down until the 'J option is visible
- Select the 'G' option (the 'Selected' alert does NOT appear)
In general, the select event fails if you:
- select an option near the top or bottom of the list
- then scroll until you see the opposite end of the list
- then select one of the visible options
