When I open the 4.0 dmg download, there is a "prohibited" symbol (circle with a slash) overlaying the Firefox icon and it will not install. Running OS 10.5.8 on a G4 PPC.

Here is the system requirements page: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/system-requirements.html. PPC is not supported in Firefox 4.
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older has the latest 3.6.x version, and http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/ is another option.
