Firefox keeps hogging my CPU and I am FED UP!

I used to love Firefox. It was a slick, speedy browser. Now it is the biggest piece of GARBAGE I've ever used. It insists on hogging my CPU and I am SICK OF IT. It's not my computer. I have Windows 7 and 4GB of RAM. I don't have this problem with any other browser. None of the suggestions I've found (and this is a HUGELY complained about issue) have worked. Why the hell won't you fix this?? I open the browser (and get the damned "Oops this is embarrassing" crap about not being able to restore my session more times than not!) and it immediately hogs 75-100% of my CPU. This slows the browser down to the point that it is useless. I keep my cache clear. FIX THIS ALREADY!

I agree Firefox 3.6.15 is crap. It's the world's slowest browser. However Mozilla has made available Firefox 4 Release Candidate which is speedy, slick and 3 times faster than Firefox 3.6. Currently, Firefox 4 has not been finally released but the release date is March 22. So wait for 6 days.
