Hi Tanya2011,

Good catch, you could manually disable the reporter by going to your Firefox root dir., opening the application.ini file and changing:

[Crash Reporter]Enabled=1 to [Crash Reporter]Enabled=0.

It should now be disabled (the checkbox in your FF options will still be checked, though).

Regards, Ziggy

Since I installed Firefox yesterday, I have encountered several instances of what are obviously annoying _bugs_ of this sort. The answer ALWAYS seems to be "There's an Add-On for that!" - when there is even an answer at all.

In my opinion, any browser which is so apparently laden with bugs and is so dysfunctional "out of the box" is simply not ready for prime time...

With all of its flaws, Internet Explorer never seemed so outright *cheesy*, and I'm beginning to wonder just what all the hype from Firefox Fanboys/grrls is all about.

I'm about *THIS* close to uninstalling this farcical attempt at a browser and just putting up with IE's problems. The devil I know is at least professional; this clownware seems to have missed that basic point.

On Windows you can change a registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reporter\SubmitCrashReport: DWORD value = 0
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reporter\SubmitCrashReport
