I have several themes I like, is there a way that they could change randomly on startup or shut down so that I get a different one each time?

The Random Theme Switcher extension may do what you want.

Nope, doesn't work with Persona themes and seems to switch only on command, I was looking for something that would use a list of themes and switch on startup, the "hotbutton" would be nice if the other criteria were met though.
I don't know of anything that exactly meets your criteria, but for Personas the Personas Rotator extension may be of use..
