firefox 3.6.x will not start, nothing happens at all., I have done a clean install and it still won't start
Running on Vista 64 Version 6.0 SP 2
I have followed all of the recommended uninstall and clean reinstall, When starting the busy icon spins for a second or so then nothing else happens.
Actually this has existed since 3.5.x (I don't remember that exact version.)

Did you check your security software (firewall)?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

Neither Norton nor windows firewall reported any issues. Please note it doesn't even start.
