You can typically run Firefox from it's main executible, which, in Windows, is typically located at "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" From there, you can create a shortcut for the executable, if you want. Also, be sure that Firefox is set as your default browser (Tools > Options > Advanced > General) if you want it to behave like so.
