Firefox is installed on both my home laptop and my work desktop. I recently started getting the following error when trying to log into my bank site on the home laptop; "Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit." I have included a screenshot.

I can log into the same site from my work computer with no problem. I also have Chrome installed on the laptop and can log into the bank site properly.

My laptop has Firefox version 68.0.2

have you tried opening the menu in the top right. ( the icon is 3 parallel lines)

then click preferences

now click privacy and security on the left

scroll down untill you see COOKIES AND SITE DATA in bold and under that click on "clear data..."

click clear

restart Firefox and try your bank website again

Thank you, that did the trick.

Note that this is usually about corrupted cookies and you only need to remove the cookies from the involved website and not all the cookies as that will make you logout from all websites and you also use all data stored by websites in a cookie.
