I have 1 PC that for some reason keeps getting this Red Support Screen with the Scam Phone Number and Support.Windows.com etc...It does like everyone has reported. Locks up the browser and will not let you do anything... I am able to gain control of the browser by either doing the esc tricks or i unpin the tab and then i can close it. I have run Malawarebytes, ADWCleaner, Webroot, HITMAN etc... No threats found...I am on the 2nd time that this one machine has been infected but cannot find anything. As I write this out I am trying TDSSKiller. While it is running I should mention that they person that uses this machine has a Firefox account so that when he logs in he gets all his Home Pages/Tabs.. They state that they do not see this on other machines... TDSSKiller did not find anything it processed 507 objects, 0 threats. If anyone has anything that i may have missed please advise, Worst case I re-image this machine but I would prefer not to.. Thanks in advance for any and all ideas/help

Try a new profile. It may be that the malware is isolated to there. Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles

I will give that a shot. I am assuming that when they login to the browser again it will recreate their profile?

Malware scans are a good idea (see: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware), but most likely, it's not an infection but a fake message designed to scam you into signing up for support services. Those services may or may not be useful, but how can you trust anyone who uses this kind of sales tactic?

I'm going to paste my general advice which it sounds as though you have already seen:

Pages like that, designed to scare and trap you, typically use a couple different methods to make it difficult to close them. I suggest trying:

(1) Tap the Esc key numerous times in a row to close any dialog asking for a username and password, to break the reload cycle.

(2) For large script dialogs, look for a checkbox at the lower left to stop the page from showing more dialogs. Check the box and click the OK button. Then quickly press the Esc key numerous times.

(3) For pages that watch you moving the mouse around and then show something else, try using Ctrl+w (Close tab) or Ctrl+F4 (Close document) to close the tab.

And...

Since these often pop up from bad advertisements, consider using an ad blocking extension like uBlock Origin: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/

Some websites have incomplete functionality when ads are blocked, so when a site is trustworthy, you can use the uBlock Origin button on the toolbar to make an exception for that site.

A new profile is completely uncustomized, like a fresh install on a new machine.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad / pop-up blocker.

Yes, sorry for not elaborating on that, and jscher is right, it could just be a scam site you will want to avoid.

Try also reporting the site here: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_badware/

Ok So i have created the New Profile, Gave it a name to track. Deleted the old profile but kept the files just in case... Originally when this happened it was replacing a Outlook.com website tab. This time it just placed it self in the middle of the tabs....

What is funny is that he uses the Mozilla Account to keep the tabs and what not synced across 5 Machines but this is the only one that is getting the bad site.

I will update as i find more... Thank you to everyone for their support and help it is greatly appreciated!
