mail is automatically deleted fron the recycle bin
I have a problem with all my email accounts in my recyle bin. All my deleted mail which is send to the recyle bin is automatically deleted except the mail which is about 10 days old.
I went through all my setting and i am pretty sure that everything is set right. Also the clients in the cell phones from the different accounts (android an IOS) have the correct settings.
Ik expect that there is a problem in one of the latest upgrades from Thunderbird. Do you experience these problems also from other members and can you give me som advise?
Best regards,
Jan

Interesting you use the term recycle bin. That leads me to believe you are using IMAP mail as Thunderbird calls the folder Trash.
In IMAP we regularly see people concerned because they were unaware their mail provider has automated setting that empty trash, and generally age their emails and make decision on their age. For example archiving mail over a year, emptying the trash daily/weekly/monthly etc. In a synchronized environment everything can cause mail to "just disappear"
Yes indeed, I am using IMAP and a dutch version. Trash/Recylce bin is a translation issue. I asked my email provider for their policy regarding email storage, to find out if they are causing the problem.
