Firefox crashes every time I open it. If I click restart, it crashes again. I can only quit from the Crash Reporter.
Reproduction Steps: 1. Open Firefox 2. Crash Reporter appears 3. If I click "Restart Firefox" then another instance of Crash Reporter appears 4. If I click "Quit Firefox" then it closes.

I originally had this issue after using Firefox Nightly. However a previous older version (37.0) of regular Firefox worked. When I tried to update Firefox, this issue happened.

hi ryangates, unfortunately these crashes will be caused by websense security software running on your system and negatively affecting firefox. according to some reports this might be fixed with newer versions of websense, so you might want to get into contact with your it department if they could roll-out an updated version of websense. otherwise firefox esr might also be an option: Old versions of Websense cause startup crashes in Firefox

Thank you for your quick reply. I will follow up with my IT department regarding websense.
uninstall firefox. get the latest versian from the mozilla website. reinstal firefox as admin. that may fix it.
