Since the latest update, Firefox is no-longer remembering my privacy and security settings. I have to re-enter them EVERY time I use my computer. Why?
Firefox is now requiring me to go in to "Options" and select "Remember my logins" and "Remember forms" EVERY SINGLE TIME I use my computer, even if it only fell asleep and was not re-started. This is beyond frustrating. Why the change? Can it be changed back to the way it was? I don't want to have to keep entering my bank routing numbers EVERY TIME I want to pay my mortgage!

I had (what sounds like) a similar problem very recently where I would lose my history and saved login settings when I closed Firefox. The logins were still saved, but the settings had changed. After tearing my hair out for several days, I discovered that my antivirus (Trend, at the time) had a password manager that was making the changes. Even though I had never used that part of the program, it was still taking action. Even after I uninstalled Trend (and installed another AV I had), the password manager was still left running in the background, even after rebooting. Since uninstalling the password manager, I haven't had this problem. You might check to see if your AV and other security programs might be being a bit overenthusiastic. I hope this helps.

hi, other users of trend micro security software have reported similar issues - the trend micro password manager that might be automatically installed as a separate application on your system might responsible for that behaviour. please uninstall it through your system control panel in case you have it present but are not using it.

Thank you. This was indeed the problem. I uninstalled the Trend password manager, and everything is back to normal.
