After Firefox update, PDFs will not open; forces a save instead
There is no fluidity in using PDFs in Firefox after a major update. Now, I am forced to save every PDF somewhere before I can view it. PLease tell me what I need to do to get back the functioning features of Adobe that I once had. The fault is not with Adobe because I had them help me with this. And all works fine in Chrome, which I hate to use. Please advise. thank you!

Hi
I should be able to help with this:
- In Firefox, type about:preferences#applications in the address bar.
- In the table, look for Portable Document Format (PDF) and change the selection to the right of it to the option you require (such as Preview in Firefox).
- You can then close that tab.
I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer with your suggestion. It is so funny how I decided to investigate the situation myself, even though I am not to tech savvy. I went to Menu, Options, Applications and found that Portable Document Format (PDF) was disabled, and all I did was change the setting to: Use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (default). I subscribe to DC and somehow when Adobe and Firefox both did updates the setting was cross-wired. All works well now. And, I so appreciate your coming to my rescue just the same!! Thank you!
