When I click on the Firefox desktop icon I get the windows clank noise and no activity. I tried to download another version and it goes halfway through process and I get a security setting is preventing. I tried uninstalling from the control panel, select mozilla and select remove and simply nothing happens, it will not remove from system.

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox program folders by adding .old to them.

After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner. Then run the installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.
