How do I disable the dialogue that pops up when a download finishes?

It can provide me more privacy to disable the notification of download complete.

Try to toggle browser.download.animateNotifications to false on the about:config page.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
