Firefox 38.0.5 is constantly connecting to self-repair.mozilla.org. I hate that. How can I stop it?

News to me. I followed the link to "read more about Heartbeat" and that page lists a method to disable it. I'll go ahead and post it here so anyone finding this thread will have it handy:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste self and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the browser.selfsupport.url preference and delete the address (leave it blank) and click OK

If you decide you want to participate in Heartbeat again, right-click the browser.selfsupport.url preference and choose Reset to restore the URL.

Thanks jscher2000! I found that too and deleted the url, but according to my firewall firefox is still trying to connect. I'll restart firefox and see if it fixes it.
