How to get rid of Yahoo from search bar?
There's got to be a way, there used to be a way. Can't we just mark certain sites -- Yahoo -- as a menace? Treat them like spam?
- User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0
In the search bar it is possible to manage your search engines. Search the Web on Firefox and remove any search from your Firefox.
I get to this bit of instructions: "Remove a search engine: You can remove search engines you don't need by performing the following steps on the Search bar on the toolbar or on the new tab page. Click the search engine icon and select Manage Search Engines..., to open the search engines manager. To remove a search engine, select it from the list, and click Remove."
BUT I AM UNABLE TO GET TO THIS "Manage Search Engines"!
Please provide a screenshot of your Search Bar when the drop-down is opened to select a different Search Engine.
It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.
Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.
It will be changing in version 34 to "Change Search Settings", however since you are on version 33, can you please attach a screenshot of what you are seeing as the-edmeister suggested?
