When I try to open an attachment file, in emails or any other programme, it is searching for data in Firefox of similar detail and hundreds of tabs open!
When attempting to open an attachment in an email, the pc is attempting to find data within Firefox using the attachment "name" instead, therefore multiple tabs open, none of which are my attachment. We also have our own systems which are also not allowing me to open their attachments, again searching Firefox for data rather than the attachments that are already attached. If I leave LIBRA file open, this then enables me to open the files in a circuitous method. Would anyone please be able to assist with this, I should imagine it is pathway error, but I am just clutching at straws here! Thank you in advance for reading this pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rename (or delete) the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all file actions.

You get tabs opening endlessly if you select the Firefox program to handle a file when you get an "Open with" dialog. You should never select Firefox as the application to handle a file if you get the open with download dialog.
Thank you everyone that replied! I have sorted it....yeah!!! Adobe Acrobat reader was corrupt, the add-ons old versions, and the consent was blocked! I did it!!!! Thank you so much for pushing me in the right direction!!!!
