At the office we work with Firefox as our primary browser, as it has the best support for our Salesforce platform. Within salesforce there's an option to download attachments from messages. Here is where the problem lies: on some computers the attachment downloads correctly as an .EML file. On other computers the files download as an .MHT file, which needs conversion to EML before it can be opened in Outlook. All PCs have been deployed at once with the same configurations and run the same version of Firefox ESR. Any idea on what can cause such a problem, and how to fix it would be very much appreciated.

Hi gvkempen, Thank you for your question, I understand that multiple PCs with the same configuration are downloading different file types from a Salesforce site from Firefox.

In cases where preferences do not save I can suggest this article: Preferences that do not save: How to fix preferences that won't save The preference is stored in this file: permissions.sqlite and content-prefs.sqlite and Change behavior when opening a file if this preference is locked in your configuration.

However I would better advise to join these two resources:

Hi, and sorry for the late reply. I will look into this, but I have a feeling that my issue isn't a result of wrong file handling, but that it's more likely related to file reading. Thanks again for your links and help.
