After a keyboard accident I am left with this situation. Lin found the toggle problem with F8. Wxie suggested the password but the password is correct. Thanks to both of them. It seems the problem is the missing M in .com .It might be in the DNS but I don't seem to have anything to try except to try to recreate the account. If I try that I fear I will only exacerbate the situation. I have had this email for many years. This stared 08/08/2026 I have been searching daily for a solution. Like most things digital it is probably a simple fix if you know how. I don't.

I have created an account instance in account settings, and the "Test connection to server" says it is OK, but when I go to the mail tab the get messages button and New Message are grayed out an NO accounts are listed in the "folders" area. Not does it ever ask for my password to the SMTP server I have selected. I have an existing account with my own email service (Hover), and MUST connect to that. This is critical, as I need my e-mail to accomplish necessary activities.

I have installed Thunderbird for email but it was not what I thought it would be. I now want to cancel the account. However, the instructions are to Tools: Account Settings. 2. Select the account you want to remove on the left side. 3. Click the "Account Actions" button on the bottom left and choose, "Remove Account". Here is the problem. "Account Actions does not show"

I recently bought a new computer and I need to know how to register this computer to my Firefox account,. and also remove my old computer from my account and keeping the same account number.

Installed Thunderbird Setup 153.0.3 and npw when running t-bird get a prompt asking abut a 'thundermail" address. Please advise.. What is "thundermail" and why is it in my way? I am a regular donor to T-bird sent several, emails addressing the "thundermail" weirdness and thus far no reply. .

When selecting which email account to send FROM, the drop down shows a number of old email accounts. These accounts have been deleted. There are no details showing under the "account settings" or "Outgoing server." Which file stores the mail server information and where is it? I currently have around forty different email accounts across five mail servers.

Every five minutes Mozilla sends me a page asking for access to my Google account. I click "deny" and it goes away for a few minutes, but comes right back. And while it is on, I can neither send nor receive email. Is there some way to get it to go away and stay away? Thanks, Larry Wright

1) When launched, Thunderbird 140.13 has a pop-up window asking for a Host Gator login. HG has not been used or on this system over 8 years. "cloud80.hostgator.com is requesting your username and password." What would cause this window to appear and How to delete it completely?

2) Also, after the Thunderbird 140.13 installed and re-launched, an email was sent requesting to verify location and login sent from: "accounts at firefox.com". Is this a common request from Mozilla firefox / thunderbird?

I have not being able to add this 4 account to thunderbird: hotmail.co.uk/ live.co.uk/btinternet.com/gmail.com. I keep getting error either cannot connect to server or username and password wrong. I have managed to add two accounts successfully. I don't quiet understand what is happening with this new 153.0.1 version. I has it working before I had to reinstall windows 11 PRO. I recently changed hosting and now I am getting login boxes nonstop to my old servers. I see no way to remove them and this is so annoying I may have to change from thunderbird. All my emails are there, it just keeps checking for old servers.

I can get all my accounts except my business Gmail account, where I use my business name as the .com instead of Gmail.com.
