I reset Firefox, lost my bbc headlines feed icon in the home & address bar, tried to resubscribe at http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml, no luck.
I have Vista and Firefox 29. On the page whose address is stated in the Question above, I chose Live Bookmarks (though I don't know what they are), since the other choices seemed no good, and clicked Subscribe Now. Nothing visible happened. What I want is the BBC News icon in the bar where it was before I reset Firefox.

What happens when you try to add the XML back from http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml?
Note that you can use the Subscribe button (see screenshot below) to add RSS Feeds by clicking that button. You can drag it out between the Address Bar and the Search Bar like I did using Customize (see screenshot below)
The image "new fx menu" does not exist. > Customize
