ever since I upgraded to 18 and now to 20.0.1, my cache viewer addon does not work. When I check the addon developer's website, the reason is that you have deleted the API that this addon needs to work without telling anyone. Why are operating with Microsoft operating procedures? I switched to Firefox because I had a grave mistrust of IE and Micrsoft due to this type of behaviour.

hello, this is a primarily community-run support forum & with a focus on "solvable" problems for end users - developers most likely won't be reading here. we are neither responsible for any changes in firefox nor is it possible for us to answer the rationale behind the removal of this API in particular.

it's probably better to direct your feedback and complaints to input.mozilla.org, which will be monitored by mozilla's staff.

Not intended to answer your questions specifically , but a suggested alternative.

On the add-on page for CacheViewer ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cacheviewer/?src=ss ), it says:

Note from Mozilla: This add-on has been discontinued. Try CacheViewer Continued instead.
