I am unable to select an option in drop down boxes in Firefox (IE working fine) and when trying to close a popup box I only select what's behind it
I can scroll through a drop down box to get to my selection and chose by 'enter', however I can't use my mouse to select my choice.
I also can't close some boxes such as a download box or even a second screen. What I end up clicking on whatever is behind the screen but the box on top doesn't go behind the screen underneath even. I restarted in safe mode and still had the issue.
IE is working fine. (Cruel trick with the drop down box below!)

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Sadly that didn't work. I actually tried that yesterday playing around with responses I found on google.
