Eliminate all search engines
I don't want any search engine in firefox. I can remove all but one. Is there a way to get rid of them all an simplify my toolbar?

Do you want to remove the search bar altogether? Go to View Menu->Toolbars->Customize (Or Firefox Button->Options->Toolbar layout) and drag the search bar into the "Customize Toolbar" dialog box that opens.
