why does an untitled folder open each time I start Firefox?

even though I delete the untitled folder from the desktop, it re-appears when I open or reopen FireFox

How do I prevent this from keep happening?

Did you ever download a file to that folder?

Try to delete the file downloads.sqlite in the Firefox Profile Folder
