How to uninstall Adobe Create PDF 1.1, tried all the usual tips from the internet (deleting the extension from the extension folder, using safe mode, et al)

more options

I'm using Firefox 3.6.23 (I uninstalled 7.0.1 because it was giving me endless trouble but that's another story) and the add-on Create PDF 1.1 cannot be uninstalled no matter what I do. I'm on a Mac (OS X 10.6.8) and things I have already tried: (and why they didn't work) 1. Safe Mode uninstall: The uninstall button was still greyed out 2. Going to Help --> Troubleshooting Information--> Show profile in finder, and then trying to delete the file, there was no file to delete 3. Going to Library/Application Support/Mozila/Extensions/(strange letters)/ looking for the name of the plug-in, the name of the plug-in wasn't there (I have nothing in that folder currently, I have no other plug-ins). I really am at the end of my tether. I just want the stupid plug-in gone, and it just sticks around. It's kind of annoying.

Go to /Library/Application Support/Mozilla/Extensions, you should be able to find a folder that looks like this :web2pdfextension@web2pdf.adobedotcom, delete it and restart FireFox. I have another folder inside which contains scripts for Adobe Contribute ToolBar, I remove that folder as well and Adobe Contribute ToolBar also disappears on restart.
