How can I stop Firefox from blocking periodic updates at wunderground.com?

wunderground.com is a weather site. Because our weather changes frequently, the site updates its display frequently thus providing up-to-the-minute coverage. As of today, 26 Aug 2011, Firefox is blocking those updates. The browser issues a message reporting the block and asks if the user would like to allow the update.

See:

  • Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"

The setting in "Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

All I can say is that labeling this "Accessibility" is P(olitically) C(orrect) absurd. It needs more explanation.
