I click on the "Open a new tab" button on the toolbar, but nothing happens. Still nothing happens when I right click on it and choose "Open a new tab". Any Suggestions?

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
