in facebook I get a message in messenger that video or voice calling is not supported by this browser

I want to be able to make voice and video calls via facebook messenger using my PC camera and microphone but, the message I get is that "voice and video are not supported on this browser (Firefox/Mozilla) . It is supported on other browsers. I really don't want to switch browsers, I love firefox. I did find a couple possible fixes via advanced WebRTC settings but everything seems fine, i.e. it is clicked on true not false. I need this soon, can we get settings changed?

I'm afraid you'd have to request that in Meta support channels — there's something broken on their side, even if all the things are worked around.

No matter the prefs you flip for the legacy API, the connection doesn't get established by them: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1913599

(The long read for that is https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1896361 with the pref details for builds — anyone's welcome to try that and report if they get different results; the sentiment so far is with all the effort to support their outdated API the e2ee connections just don't succeed.)
