The PREVIOUS version of Firefox , namely "fennec" , CAN open "local .html files" , even at this very moment in time . When using the PREVIOUS version of "Firefox for Android" , namely "fennec" , a "local .html file" AND a "local .txt file" could EACH be opened by CLICKING the "local file" , and then the "phone" would "DISPLAY A PROMPT" to open the "local file" using the phone's native "HTML VIEWER" , or using "FIREFOX" . The CURRENT version of "Firefox for Android" , namely "fenix (v110)" , will NOT Upload "local images" to forums , such as when an "upload button" is pressed on a "forum" , something that "fennec" can do ; and yes , the phone's "permissions" was granted to firefox to access the phone's "storage" . As a side note , the previous "fennec" also Displayed a "button" at the top of a "page" to show a "simplified page view" , for those sites that offered "simplified page views" , something the "fenix" does not offer .
