Firefox keeps asking to be updated every time I get into my computer or browser.

I get asked to update Mozilla every time I get on my computer. It asks if I want to allow it to make changes to my device. I never had to do that before. Why is that happening now? Is this Update request legit? how do I disable it or customize so that Mozilla asks me for an update only when there actually has one?
I have dismissed this request for the last week or so. Today, my browser would not work till I hit the Update button. What is going on? Is this from you Mozilla or have I been hacked? (I have McAffee security) I also updated my system to Windows 11 a few months ago. bold text.
