This site has been very helpful to me. I thank you and I have a new question now that my e-mail is operational. I am a New York Times digital subscriber. As such I am allowed to gift a certain number of articles each month. Today when I tried to do that I was given a choice of paths for sending articles, Gmail and a few more with an option for other. But I don't know what to tell the New York Times as to how I want to be hooked to Thunderbird as the vehicle for gifting my allotted articles to others. Can someone help? Thank you, Doug

When you click the 'Share full article' icon on a NYT article, one of the choices is Email, and since TB is the default in my Firefox settings for mailto Content type (see picture), clicking Email launches a TB message with a link to the article. With other browsers, it might be a similar setting. With a browser like Edge, I think the best method is to define TB as the default app for mailto links in Windows Settings, Apps, Default apps, Choose defaults by link types.
